By utilizing "eye point technology", Shamir has been able to greatly enhance progressive lens design and truly, for the first time, re-create perfect vision. The breakthrough came with the ability to design lenses "from the eye - looking out". Creating this simulated eye has enabled Shamir to literally see how a patient would see, thus giving them an incredible advantage over other progresssive manufacturers.

Shamir has three distinct designs in their progressive lens family. The Genesis™ is their core progressive. The Piccolo™ is a true short corridor progressive, which can be fit as low as 16 mm. The Office™ lens is Shamir's near and intermediate variable focus progressive.
