Varilux Introduces a Revolutionary New Progressive Lens

Until today, even the best progressive lenses distorted light waves as they passed through the lens. This causes higher order aberrations that affect visual acuity and wearer satisfaction. The new Varilux Physio with “wave” technology has refined the manufacturing process, eliminating distortion with unprecedented digital precision. The new Varilux Physio incorporates improvements throughout the lens, including distance, intermediate and the near zone. Physio will be the first general-purpose progressive lens to deliver visual solutions to presbyopes looking for the clearest, sharpest vision possible.

Physio will be available in two forms. The premiere Physio, suitable for almost all patients, will incorporate all the newest technology and enhancements, which makes this progressive stand out from other designs. The Physio 360, the alternative form, will require lengthier processing time, and does need to be sent out of our laboratory for fabrication. The Physio 360 may add some additional benefits to patients with extremely high sphere powers or abnormally high cylindrical powers.
